![]() Then what was your original post then claiming that Windows 8 is a piece of sh*t about. Perhaps a more appropriate title Like why do YOU like or hate windows 8 I certainly did not want to start a flame war, just get other input from admins and users They are already intimidated by technology and the scary monster just got a new, unfamiliar mask. The majority of users never used a computer before the WinXP UI, and certainly not before the Win9x UI. Win8's back-end is likely the best yet (although the newest should be), but the drastic change to the front-end with no options to make it look familiar needs attention. ![]() These are also users that would be lucky to type 10 words a minute, but they are a vast slice of the user pie in the business world and do not spend much time on a computer outside of work. The less tech-savey users are really fighting Win8 to the point they get frustrated before the 10 minutes, or 2 hours, or week and a half that everybody claims it takes to familiarize with the new UI. I don't know why MS can't make a new browser that works with Internet standards and has to wait years for the rest of the world to "catch up," but that's a whole other debate. ![]() Other than Windows 8 is still a bit young in the business world, the only complaints I've had from users (home or work, and we don't run WIn8 outside of IT here yet) have been from either the new menu or IE10 (things not loading or working right) and compatibility mode has fixed any IE issues.
